Beauty Queen
Reagan tested out my make up again this afternoon. She gets the lipstick in generally the right half of her face ;)

A New 'Do
Reagan now has the hair length to put her unruly mop in braids! Today was her inaugural "Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz" hair do, and I have to say... biased as I am.... it's pretty darn cute.

Monsters Inc.
Rob and I watched Monsters, Inc. tonight --- Rob for the first time ever. He wanted to see this "Boo" character that everyone tells him his daughter looks like. It's totally true. She even TALKS like Boo. Since last year, when her hair was finally long enough to put in pig-tails, we have been told repeatedly by complete strangers how much our daughter reminds them of Boo. I see a passing resembelance ;).

The Rumor Mill
Reagan is doing this new thing... it's adorable. She leans in really close, til we're forehead on forehead, and then she whispers something to me. Usually, it's about the dog.
Reagan (in hushed tones, with big, buggy eyes): "Dog-dog. Pup. Outside".
Mom (whispering back): "Oh, no!"
It's like she's telling me this big dark secret about the dog. So funny.

Grape Juice
Reagan is, at this very moment, putting grapes in her Play Doh Fun Factory, in order to squish them into grape juice. Stop, little girl. Play-doh flavored grape juice is just wrong.

Speech
Speech therapy is going well for Reagan, and she's making gains by leaps and bounds. Brain synapses are firing right and left. Gobbledy gook is disappearing as the language of choice. She is reporting incidents from the past (told Rob about the dog-dog going night-night last night). This morning, during a diaper change, she told me "Oh NO! I'm gonna fall!" And she was. Her head was hanging off the edge of the couch. She's starting to identify some letters (mostly "O" and "I"), and can even DRAW an "O". At speech today, she was refusing to put Mr. Potato-Head glasses on, and I said "Oh, do you have issues with the glasses?" And she looked back at me and said "ISSUES". Great. THAT'S a word we want her to know. The speech therapist assured me that it was a "phantom" word, and that, with any luck, we wouldn't hear it again until she turned 14. Also during speech today, Reagan looked at a crayon, and said "black". I had no idea that she knew her colors. Don't know if that's entirely consistent, but she was certainly right about black! She then repeated the others for me... blue, red, green. HMMM. And yet, when we got home, and she asked for "Gock gock" for lunch - which is Gobbledy Gook for "milk". She REFUSED, adamantly, to say even "mmmmm" to start the world "milk". She says "mom" about 60 times a minute, so I KNOW she knows the "mmmmm" sound. Stubborn girl. She had lunch without a drink, because she refused to say "mmmm". I can be just as stubborn as she is. Where do you think you GOT that trait, little thing?????

Maybe????
I'm not positive about this, because it happened while I was in the shower, BUT... I can say that there in the bathroom with me was a diaperless little girl, a new potty chair, and liquid in the potty bowl. Which was promptly poured all over the bathroom floor. I don't think she had enough time to spit that much in there, so... by process of elimination (pun intended).... could it be?
