Sat down with Reagan yesterday after breakfast. She had a tall glass of milk, I had a cup o' tea. She looked at me, smiled, lifted her glass and said "CHEERS!" We toasted each other, celebrating that we actually had a quiet moment to sit together at the table.
Then, as she sipped her milk, she said "Mugga mugga".
Me: "Mugga Mugga?"
Reagan: "Yeah. Mugga mugga."
Me: "What's that mean?"
Reagan: "It's what the tigers say in the neighborhood."
Me (because I wasn't sure I heard her right) "It's what the TIGERS say in the neighborhood?"
Reagan: "Yes".
Me: "OK".
Reagan: "Mugga Mugga". And she toasted me again.
I sometimes just feel so out of the loop with my kids. I have no idea what she's talking about!
