Little Miss crawled on my lap this morning and asked the following question:
"Mom, are pirates real?"
Yes. They are real. They just don't look anymore like what you think pirates look like. They don't necessarily have hooks and eye patches and things like that.
"Do they have sticks for legs?"
No.
"Oh, they grow feet now? Do they say 'matey' and 'aaaargh' and have crows on their shoulders?"
No.
"But are they nice?"
No. They are not nice. They steal stuff from other people. They rob people on boats.
"They need to be nice."
Yes. We'll try to get that word out.
