Reagan is a HUGE Diego fan. Sometimes it surprises me how much she knows about animals, and then I realize.... Diego. We were playing with the animal cards today, and one fell on the ground. Reagan promptly said "Puma fell down". Puma? Really? I picked it up, and sure enough... it was a puma.
So then I wanted to know how many animal names she really DID know, so I started quizzing her. The basics were a cinch - bear, monkey, spider, seagull, alligator. But then she also knew puma, jaguar, cheetah. She didn't know tapir ( I wouldn't have either). When I showed her a picture of an armadillo, though, I had to laugh.
Mom: "What's this, Reagan?"
She looked at it quizzically for a second before giving her answer.
"Pillow pet!"
